He had lots of fans as a Guitar Man and Song Writer..   Then as an Actor..  I recently got a DVD From a friend here..  Chet and Jerry play a concert at the Bottom Line on June 22 1992..  They say the Audio is Great on this DVD   I haven't seen it yet..

I seen that in the paper at lunch Bill.

Another great passed on... I found some videos on YouTube a while back of Jerry and Chet just absolutely wearin' it OUT! Chet with his Gretsch and Jerry with his more or less trademark Tele. What a couple of great talents... giants IMO.

Yep - Jerry was the man for years in Tunetown. I played the Larry Butler Golf Tourney behind him and Ray Stevens on year. That's when he gave Vince Gill is nickname of Vince "Cry Baby" Gill.
The guy was common as fried taters. Lots of good left behind.

I have no idea what these guys are like in person.. BUT..  they sure can spread their musical know-how and talent over a piece of tape or a CD..

When they're all gone Who's gonna know who they were.. ????

Wow....
Back in the day when I was working in country radio, I played the "ww and the dixie dance kings" album to death.  Blues Stay Away from Me was a favorite.  I still have the vinyl..

cliff

Loved his version of "Goodnight sweetheart, well, its time to go......same movie soundtrack.
