Hi Everyone,

What is your experience with noise reduction plugins for noise reduction when transcribing old vinyl / acetate records?

Has anyone tried  X- Crackle ?   My Webpage

Any suggestions appreciated! I'm about to start back through my collection which goes back through the 40's.

Thanks!

I've sent Flavio a PM about the "Unregistered" stuff. izotope makes "iZotope Music & Speech Cleaner". or you can go pro with "iZotope RX"$$"  You can see the pops and clicks and literally cut them out or have it done automatically. It's very good, but very expensive. Hope that helps you.

I agree with Paco.  there is another option worth looking in to. Go to the iZotope.com site and open the bundles.  they have a suite of plug-in that is a very good investment.
Elements Suite
Repair, mix, and master your audio with iZotope's budget-friendly Elements Bundle.
Includes: RX Elements, Neutron Elements, and Ozone Elements
$199 USD
Sound Forge Pro 12 , by Magic, a mastering software is running a promotion for the same price ( and it includes several iZotope plugins, including De-noise as well as some others including a  Sony's Noise Reduction and ACID Pro 8 all for $199.00.  Many of the best plug-ins around. All run at 64bit or 32bit.
the Sound Forge plugins and the IZotope plugins work in n_Track.
