I have an M-Audio Fast Track Ultra. Channel 1 has a Behringer B1 Large diaphragm condenser. Channel 2 has a Shure SM81 small diaphragm condeser. Getting good signals from each.  I need to record each to a separate track.  I am recording a piano. I have the SM81 up close and the B1 in the room for room reverb.

They are being combined into a single track. I  need two tracks so i can control eq/volume of each. How do record each mic to a separate track?  I've done this before years ago but now using newest version of n-track and can't figure it out..

Thanks

David,

you just need to create two empty audio tracks, then arm the 1st track to record from the left input channel, and arm the 2nd track to record from the right input channel. You can set the "arm" setting for each track clicking on the small circular rec button on the left side of each track.
Please let me know if you have difficulties doing this.

Cheers,
Flavio.
